101. Application
1. The requirements are to apply to non self-propelled dredgers of 150 meters in length or in less accordance with the requirements in Pt 1, Ch 1, Sec 13 of the Rules for the of Classification Steel Ships.
2. A self-propelled dredger which is intended to be registered by this Society is to be subjected to
the Rules for the Classification of Steel Ships. However, the hopper structures may be subjected to this Rules.
102. Corresponding Application of the Rules for Classification of Steel Ships
The Rules for the Classification of Steel Ships are to apply correspondingly to the items for which requirements are not specified in this Rules.
103. Equivalents
The hull structures, outfitting, machinery(including electric installations-hereafter referred the same), arrangements and scantlings, the requirements for which are not specified in the Rules, are to be regarded to be in compliance with the Rules if recognized by this Society as equivalents to the re- quirements of the Rules.
104. Exceptions
Regardless of the above requirements of the 101. the structures, outfitting, arrangements and di- mensions of the dredgers of less than 30 meters and greater than 150 meters in length and of those dredgers to which application of the Rules are not practicable, are to be in accordance with as deemed appropriate by this Society.
